Description

Blondie’s Hideaway (cottage #24) is a modern cottage built in 2011. It is one of our hypoallergenic cottage rental with all synthetic duvets and pillows, smoke free and pets free. Sleeps 4 and it’s features a full kitchen, queen size bed and an upgraded mattress on a double-size sofa bed. In the bedroom, you will find a flat screen TV, Blu-ray DVD player and a heated towel rack. The living/kitchen area feature a cozy propane fireplace, iPod dock, stereo system, Sirius Satellite Radio Dock and Wi-Fi. Outdoors, we have a propane BBQ, fire pit, comfortable chairs and a shed where we keep some extras like cushions, clothes drying rack, extra pots and pans etc.. to make your stay more comfortable. It’s only a few steps to the boardwalk with great views of the water onto San Juan Bay and the San Juan River.

Five minutes of walking from the cottages will get you to The Pacific Gateway Marina if you’re going fishing or you want to take in the sea air. Tommy’s Home Cooking (The THC Diner) and The Coastal Kitchen Café are a five minute walk away if you get tired of your own cooking. And the pub at the PortRenfrew Hotel is maybe a ten minute walk. They have food too.

You can get a few basic groceries at the Real Goods Market next to the THCDiner. A bigger selection of groceries including beer, wine and the hard stuff are at the General Store on Parkinson Road. It’s a good idea though to stock up on groceries on your way to Port Renfrew in Sooke or Cowichan Lake if you are travelling from the other direction. Of course everyone takes credit cards, debit cards and that ancient currency, cash.
