My self, my son and two buddies stayed for three nights this past weekend enjoying 4 days of unbelievable salmon fishing. The cottage was small for 4 men but it worked. The patio makes the property seem much bigger than it is and we enjoyed using the bar b que and the comfortable outside furniture. I am currently having a water view cottage being built and were so impressed with the excellent service France provided for Handsome Dan we plan to hire them to be are accommodation coordinators.
We spent two nights here with our grandson and had a great time. The cottage is so nicely equipped and it was a joy to be trusted with a great selection of movies and music. The cottage is compact but so cleverly appointed, and the deck is particularly large with a functioning BBQ. The gas fireplace was a nice touch. The main door goes into the living area and the French door into the bedroom, so fresh air and cooling breezes kept us all happy. No reservations at all in suggesting a visit here.
Spent a week here as our daughter was being married nearby. Everything was great and we were surprised at how well equipped the cabin was. Thanks for a great spot.
We stayed in Blondie's Hideaway for a couple of days during spring break and it was a great little getaway for us! We are a family of four with 2 young children (under 7.) Yes, the cottage is cute and the locale beautiful, and the service is great, you will notice all of this consistently in reviews. But for us, the best thing about staying here was that Handsome Dan and The French Girl treat will treat you like adults. What do I mean by that? Well, I have stayed in many cottages and for fear of you destroying their property the owners cheap out on everything from the dishes to the tv. Well, not here. The amenities are all of good quality, you will even find CDs and DVDs in Blondie's Hideaway library that you might actually want to listen to/watch. This is extremely rare in my experience. Also, we appreciated having the TV/DVD player in the bedroom, so that when our kids went to sleep on the sofa bed we weren't forced to bunker down too, we could watch a movie! And just so you know, if you forget to bring a bottle of wine, as we did, the general store DOES have some available to purchase! Whew! Book with Handsome Dan's, you will not regret it! And when you do, read the information book in the room from cover to cover, lots of important/cool info in there!
We recently spent two nights here and were very impressed with how nice these cabins are. Our cabin was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped with everything one could possibly need. The gas fireplace really warmed the place up in spite of the wild winter weather. We are looking forward to our next trip to Port Renfrew and will be staying here again!
