Mystic Beach is only a short 4.3 km past Jordan River. Located 75.3km and (1h 24 min) drive west from Victoria.

Mystic beach is one of my favorite hikes for many years. It’s about a 2km (45 min) hike from the parking lot to the beach through beautiful ancient forest and well-maintained trail. You’ll pass a cool suspension bridge about half way. There are small caves on the western side of the beach that you can reach and explore during low tide and the waterfall on the east side is for sure going to catch your attention. At low tide, you can walk right under it.

Mystic Beach is the beginning of the Juan De Fuca Marine Trail, a 47km wilderness hiking trail along the southwest coast of Vancouver Island from China Beach to Port Renfrew. This will give you a good taste of what it would be like to completely hike the Juan De Fuca Marine Trail.

To get to Mystic Beach, drive to the China Beach user trail parking lot; don’t confuse it with the China beach campground entrance, which is 400m to the south (or closer to Victoria). There are 2 parking lots. The Mystic Beach one is immediately to the right after you turn off the highway. The other one, lower on the left, is for the China beach access.

Note that Mystic Beach  & China Beach are part of the same entrance.
