We offer both pet-friendly and non-pet cottages to suit your preferences.

Our privately owned cottages are fully equipped with modern amenities,  including kitchens, Wi-Fi, and comfortable living spaces. Each is equipped to the taste of  the owner check out the individual cottages to see more!

Yes, all our cottages have on-site parking for guests. Some  cottages parking is not assigned so make sure to check your cottage details.

Port Renfrew offers a variety of activities, including hiking, fishing, S.U.P./Rowboat  rentals, and wildlife watching.

Mt. Washington offers a variety of activities, including hiking, skiing, and  snowboarding.

Please note there is still limited cell service in Port Renfrew and area. As of May 2023 Rogers, Fido and Shaw customers have service. As of January 2024 Telus customers have limited data coverage. Please contact your cell phone carrier to check if you will have coverage during your stay.

We have  one of the most flexible cancellation policies on the island! You have until 48hrs prior to  check in time to make any changes or cancel. Before that time we don’t take any deposits.  Please note that all cancellations need to be sent via email request to  

info@handsomedans.ca. If you think you will need to cancel within that 48hrs, for any  reason, we encourage you to purchase trip cancellation insurance from your local  insurance provider as we cannot process cancellations within 48hrs of check in. 

• Please note there is no longer a pay phone as shown. 
• Please note access to the Pacific Gateway Marina and Bridgeman’s Restaurant  is via walking (10-15 mins)  or driving (2 mins). 
• Coastal Kitchen is 10 min walk / 2 min drive
• The Renfrew Pub is a 15 min walk / 3 min drive

Due to a limitation in our Property Management System and API on our new website, the system can’t accurately filter listings based on their minimum booking requirements. As a result, cottages with a minimum stay (e.g., Cottage 25 Cat’s Pajamas with a 2-night minimum) will still show up in the search results even if only 1 night is selected. However, you won’t be able to book them if you try, as they require a longer stay.

Cottages that allow for advanced 1 night bookings are located in Port Renfrew. All other cottages have a 2 night minimum.
