Location:
Sombrio Beach is located at 96.4 km (1h 50 min) drive from Victoria, and a short 18.7 km (20 min) drive from the town of Port Renfrew.

Surfing:  Sombrio Beach is known as a hidden gem for surfers and less crowded than Jordan River; more private and inviting too. Sombrio Beach is only a 15 minute hike from the parking lot.

Find the Hidden Waterfall:  Once at the beach, look for the hidden waterfall, unless someone tells you about it, you could easily miss it and never know it was there, despite it being so close.

Walk east (left), eventually you will pass a cave-like rock, a little past that, look for a small streamlet on the ground coming from the left on its eventual journey to the ocean. Follow that watercourse. It is not far, trust me. It is right there. You just can’t see it from the beach. Then you will see these two huge cliffs of moss-covered rock with the waterfall right in the middle of it.
