From Victoria to Handsome Dan’s
– Take Trans-Canada Hwy #1 – Take exit 14 toward Langford/Sooke – Merge onto Millstream Rd/Veterans Memorial Pkwy #14 W – Continue to follow Veterans Memorial Pkwy #14 W – Turn right onto Sooke Rd #14 W – Continue to follow Hwy #14 W, until you arrive to Port Renfrew. – The Rd will change for Parkinson Rd
– On your Right you will see a red dinner called Tomi’s Home Cooking: – Turn right onto Baird Rd just past Tomi’s Home cooking, destination will be on the left

From Sidney, Swartz Bay Ferry terminal to Handsome Dan’s (Port Renfrew)
– Take the Pat Bay Highway (Hwy 14) towards Victoria. – Then take the McKenzie exit to Highway 1. – Go north towards Nanaimo. – Take the Langford/Sooke Exit 14. – Turn right on Sooke Rd/Hwy 14. – Continue to follow Veterans Memorial Pkwy #14 W – Turn right onto Sooke Rd #14 W. – Continue to follow Hwy #14 W, until you arrive to Port Renfrew. – The Rd will change for Parkinson Rd once in Port Renfrew – Turn right onto Baird Rd just past Tomi’s Home cooking – Destination will be on the left
Driving From Nanaimo / Duke Point & Duncan
– At just a few kilometres ( a mile or two) north of Duncan turn west on Highway #18 that goes to Lake Cowichan. Travel through Lake Cowichan on South Shore Rd. Continuing until you arrive at Mesachie Lake. Watch for the Port Renfrew sign. Turn left (south) on Pacific Marine Rd. and continue through some spectacular scenery. This is a logging road paved by the Province a few years ago. It passes through some active logging areas and you’ll get a real sense of what clear cutting and re-forestation looks like. It’s a great drive. Remember to stop at Harris Canyon and the Harris Creek Fir. It’s about 50km (35mis) from Mesachie Lake to Port Renfrew and a lot quicker than going through Victoria if you are travelling from the North.
